How To Access Facebook Audiences That You Might Not Know About

(This is the transcript from our new video so it may not read as well as a normal blog post would)

Hi, my name is Joaquin and I’m the paid media executive here at Koozai. And in this video, I’m gonna show you a few little hidden gems that you might not know about on Facebook targeting. Now, all you have to do is go to the Audience section in Facebook Ads Manager, click on Create Audience, go to Saved Audience and here you’re gonna be able to find a few little like hints and tips to use when you’re next advertising and targeting. Now, let’s say, for example, you’re trying to target to certain job titles. Maybe personal trainer and you might find that when you’re typing these interests or demographics or job titles in, they might not be appearing in this section. So for example, if you type in personal trainer, you might not get anything come up. It will say no results found. Or sometimes this will come up and you will only get personal trainer as an interest. So these are people who are interested in personal trainers but you might be looking for maybe a job title. Now, in order to find the job titles, you can, of course, search them but an easier way of doing this is just by clicking on personal trainer, and once you’ve done this, you can click on the suggestions, and it will give you a few job titles from that specific topic. So we have fitness trainers and then from that, it’ll give us more suggestions for related items and related interests, job titles and topics. So in this case, because it’s personal trainers, we want fitness instructors, we want fitness trainers, we can do fitness specialists and it will also give you suggestions in terms of fields of study. So people who have studied personal training and fitness. Now, unfortunately, there’s a big error with Facebook where sometimes you type in a certain job title and it doesn’t come up. So you need to use this to your advantage and maybe if you are stuck on this page and you can’t find the job titles that you’re looking for, it’s always a good idea to type in the topic that is related to that subject and then you’ll be able to find it. Now, another thing that is really, really interesting about Facebook targeting is all the different types of behaviors and demographics. Now, a lot of people just simply go for interest targeting when it comes to prospecting campaigns but I’d really recommend using demographics and behaviors. Now, if we click on behaviors, you’ll be able to see an array of different topics that you can target. So for example, let’s go to an easy one, which is soccer or football. You will be able to target to people who are high-content engagers for that particular topic. So in this case, football fans. So if you’re trying to target two football fans, I’d really recommend using this behavior function as it’s a lot more engaging and you’ll be able to target your direct customers through behaviors, rather than just simply through interests. Other ideas are also purchase behaviors and there’s this behavior here called engaged shoppers and I really recommend using this if you’re selling products. Let’s say you have a Shopify and you’re trying to sell notepads or pens. I really recommend using engaged shoppers as one of your behaviors for your targeting. This will target people who have clicked on the call to action button of Shop Now in the past week, meaning you’re gonna be sending your ad to people that have recently purchased or recently clicked on the Shop Now button through Facebook ads. I hope this has helped on your targeting. And if you need anymore information, make sure to check our other videos and our blogs.
