40 Books, Shows, and Other Resources to Educate Yourself About Race

We’ve seen a lot of people looking for guidance on what they can do and how to contribute to the Black Lives Matter movement and to ending racial violence and injustice.
While donating your time and/or money can be one of the most directly impactful ways to make a change, educating yourself is just as important. Not only will it make a lasting impact on your own thoughts and actions, it will arm you for difficult and often uncomfortable conversations about race with friends and family.
It is everyone’s responsibility to push for real change, and educating yourself is the first step. But now is NOT the time to ask your BIPOC network for that education.
So we’ve put together an extensive list of books, videos, and more that you can turn to that don’t rely on asking your BIPOC friends and family.
